Prepare yourself for the biggest and most thrilling event of the year in drone racing as the DCL Split 3 takes the stage in the awe-inspiring environments of AlUla, Yas Marina Circuit, and LAAX. The seven teams will battle for the prestigious title of DCL Champion for Split 3 while showing their exceptional skills, speed, and strategy.
High Stake League Format
The DCL Split 3 will adopt an intricate format specifically planned to push the limits of our drone pilots. The format consists of 7 teams with elite team rosters, competing for 7 matchdays. All teams playing will compete in 6 matches and give their best to dominate the drone racing gurus. On each match day, we will see 3 levels of the race, bringing points on the standings board for the teams.
Match 1: 2 v 2
Match 2: 2 v 2
Match 3: 4 v 4
Group Stage: Earning the Right to Ace
During the group stage (4 v 4), each team will race against one another, highlighting their strengths, skills, and teamwork. Like the previous Split season, a point system ensures consistent performance is the key for all drone pilots to win.
1st place finish: 4 points
2nd place finish: 3 points
3rd place finish: 2 points
4th place finish: 1 point
After completing all matchups, the points are tallied to rank the teams on the standings board. The highest-scoring team will secure the top seed, followed by the second, third, and fourth. In the event of a points tie, the fastest race time from a direct match-up between the tied teams will serve as the tiebreaker.
This focus on cohesive teamwork continues into the elimination stage, where collective strategy becomes the key to claiming victory.
The Elimination Stage:
This is the stage where the competition reaches its zenith. Teams will go head-to-head in a knockout format. With each round, we will see one team eliminated until the strongest one remains. The stakes are sky-high in this knockout phase as the teams push their drone racing skills to the limit, making every second and maneuver count.
DCL Split 3 Finals
The DCL Split 3 Finals promises an unforgettable conclusion to an extraordinary drone racing season. The top 6 teams will compete in the showdown to determine the Ultimate DCL Champion 2024. Will it be a virtual event, or will there be real-life drone racing? Stay tuned to find out.
