The Draft process started in April 2021, where all pilots in DCL – The Game were invited to take part in the Draft Selection Qualification on 4 different tracks. Pilots had 3 weeks to get their best times in with the top 300 fastest (200 Steam, 50 PS4, 50 Xbox) being invited to the private Draft Selection race. The 7 teams racing in the DCL 2021 season were then able to recruit new pilots for their roster from the top 100 of those races.

Teams were also able to pick a limited amount free agents who weren’t in the Draft Selection.
