Announced today in Riyadh, Saudi DCL marks a major milestone in DCL’s expansion into national leagues and a defining moment for drone sport in the region. Building on the long-term strategic partnership between DCL and Tuwaiq Academy, and leveraging Tuwaiq Club’s nationwide network with access to more than 40,000 students across the Kingdom, the league is designed to discover and develop the next generation of Saudi drone racing talent.
University students from 20+ institutions across Saudi Arabia — connected through the Tuwaiq Academy network — compete inside DCL’s world-class mixed-reality platform. The competition opens with an online qualification phase, where participants log unlimited attempts on DCL’s simulator with their best time counting toward the standings. Top performers advance to head-to-head playoffs before the best finalists meet in person at the live final at LEAP 2026 on August 31 in Riyadh — with the chance to race against the DCL World Champion.
