Abu Dhabi, 14.03.2025 – Drone Champions League (DCL) is delighted to unveil the Falcon Cup, the debut competition of the DCL 2025 season. In this tournament, six elite teams from around the globe will battle in intense virtual drone races, culminating in an on-site showdown in Abu Dhabi in April 2025.
10 Action-Packed Matches: The Initial Highlight of the Revamped 2025 Season
The Falcon Cup kicks off the season with a streamlined league format that pushes teams to show their tactical and racing skills. Over 10 thrilling matches, teams will go head-to-head in a double-elimination structure, with two weekly race premieres on DCL’s YouTube channel. The first episode premieres on March 17, 2025, at 16:00 UTC. At the end of the tournament, the top four teams will qualify for the Falcon Cup Finals, where they will compete for victory in a live racing event in Abu Dhabi.
Elite Teams from Around the World
The tournament features top six teams, including Cyclone Racing, Quad Force One, Raiden Racing, Spain Drone Team, Wildcard Team, and Phoenix Racing – a new team from Malta. This international lineup highlights the global reach of the Falcon Cup, with teams representing key regions such as Europe, the GCC, the United States, and Japan.
From Virtual Battles to Real-World Showdowns
The Falcon Cup is more than just virtual racing — it’s the first milestone toward DCL’s Real Life Racing Finals. The top-performing teams will earn their spot in the DCL Live Racing Event in Abu Dhabi, where the best pilots will take on real-world racing challenges in a one-of-a-kind esports-meets-reality event.
